Jeffrey G. Frank, shareholder at Buchalter, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in legal services.

Mr. Frank has dedicated nearly four decades to the field of law, specializing in sectors such as construction and public contracts, the cannabis and hemp industry law, real estate, litigation, trade secrets and employee mobility, and privacy and data security law. He is currently a shareholder at Buchalter, a full-service business law firm, a role he has held since 2018. In addition to his current role, he served as a managing shareholder for their Seattle office from 2018 to 2022. Additionally, he was a member and managing partner at Foster Pepper PLLC from 2006 to 2008, an attorney at Bullivant Houser Bailey from 1988 to 2006, and a summer clerk and associate at Barokas and Martin from 1986 to 1988. 

Mr. Frank has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement. Since 2012, he has served as an advancement council member at Western Washington University, and co-founder of VotingforJudges.org since 2006. From 2018 to 2024, he served on the board of the Foundation for Washington State Courts and co-founded the Washington Committee for Ethical Judicial Elections. He was a past board member and chair for the Giraffe Heroes Project, honoring people who “stick their neck out” for the greater good. He has also served as the past president of the King County Bar Foundation since 2021 and was a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee for the Washington State Bar Association from 2011 to 2014. 

Prior to these accomplishments, Mr. Frank pursued a Bachelor of Arts in pre-law with honors at Western Washington University, graduating in 1981, and a Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law in 1986. He is admitted to the Washington State Bar Association, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, the District of Alaska, the District of Hawaii, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

A standout moment in Mr. Frank’s career came in 2021 when he was named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by his law firm for his dedication to an undocumented immigrant family involved in a legal dispute and threatened with deportation. He not only resolved the case but formed a lasting bond with the family, which reinforced his commitment to helping clients who may lack financial resources and connections. 

Mr. Frank has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2013 and has been recognized on the Washington Super Lawyers List since 2001. In 2013, he was named one of the Best in the Business: Leading Lawyers in the Puget Sound Region for Construction by Seattle Business Magazine. Other accolades include the Community Service Award from DRI in 2007, the Silver Gavel Award from the ABA in 2007, the League of Justice award from Washington CEO Magazine in 2006, the President’s Award from Washington Defense Trial Lawyers in 2006, and Martindale-Hubbell AV Rated.

In the coming years, Mr. Frank aims to support and guide the next generation of legal professionals by mentoring law students, especially those facing challenges or seeking a new direction. Additionally, he plans to join an advocacy program in Kenya, Uganda, Botswana, and Malawi to provide counseling and advice to young lawyers. His overall focus is to give back to the legal community and make a lasting impact.
