With more than 45 years of experience to his credit, Mr. English has excelled as the principal, partner and owner of Dines and English LLC in Clifton, New Jersey since 1980, diligently representing his clients so they may receive the justice that they deserve. Prior to these positions, he was active as an associate with Lordi, Imperial, and DInes between 1978 and 1980. Beginning his career at Drake University as a teaching assistant in the humanities in 1973 and an adjunct faculty member in future studies and literature in 1974, he subsequently served on the adjunct faculty at the Rutgers School of Law, part of  Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, teaching courses on the First Amendment from 1979 to 1981 and New Jersey practice in 1988. Equally esteemed as a mentor for law students and a presenter in his field, he has found success with his written works as well, having authored articles for SecondsOut, the Rutgers Law Record, Maxboxing, the North Jersey Record, and other USA Today-affiliated publications. Mr. English has also cemented himself as an accomplished blue water sailor for more than four decades.

To support his professional ambitions, Mr. English initially pursued an education at Drake University, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree with honors. He concluded his studies at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in 1978, graduating from the Rutgers School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, with honors. Notably, he was presented with the Alumni Prize for “Most Likely to Make Lasting Contribution to Legal Profession” from Rutgers Law School. Likewise, he fondly recalls a significant achievement during this time, having aided in a case proving the legitimacy of a child through DNA testing. Mr. English also cites his critical contributions to the development of the Professional Boxing Safety Act as a highlight of his ongoing career.
