Concurrently to this position, he served as an executive officer in the United States Air Force, a role he has held since 2020, where he developed invaluable leadership and communication skills. Before transitioning into his legal career, he served as an electronic warfare officer in the U.S. Air Force from 2009 to 2020. During his military tenure, he demonstrated exceptional expertise in strategic planning and execution.
Mr. Phillips’ academic journey also reflects his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. He holds a Juris Doctor from the Franklin Pierce School of Law, University of New Hampshire, earned in 2023, a master’s degree in public policy from the Carsey School of Public Policy, University of New Hampshire, completed in 2023, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Vermont, conferred in 2022. Additionally, he completed coursework in distance learning and military and strategic leadership at the United States Air Force Air Command and Staff College in 2020 and earned a Master of Business Administration from Trident University International in 2014.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Phillips is deeply committed to civic engagement. He co-founded Veterans Legal Justice, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal services to veterans. Additionally, he actively participates in various civic activities, including serving as a Boy State Alumni for the State of Maine. Looking ahead, he is focused on advancing his legal career. He aims to secure a follow-on clerkship at either the state supreme court or federal court level, with aspirations of eventually pursuing a career in public service, representing the interests of New Hampshire or Maine constituents. His dedication to excellence, coupled with his multifaceted skill set, positions him as a dynamic and impactful leader in the legal and public policy spheres.
