He continued his academic efforts with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Rutgers Law School, part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in 1977. Mr. Ramos concluded his studies at the New York University School of Law in 1978, graduating with a Master of Laws in international law.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Ramos has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles. As a donor, he has contributed to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, The American Ballet Theatre, and The Morgan Library & Museum. Moreover, he has been active as the artistic director, producer, and partner with Tribeca Lab since 1990, during which time he further exhibited his creative side as the director of, and a performer with, Collective: Unconscious from 1996 to 2002. Mr. Ramos has found success with his musical ambitions as well, having performed as a guitar player, banjo player, ukulele player, and vocalist for such bands as The Pens and The Mercantillers since 1998.
Mr. Ramos has attributed his success to his diligence, his responsiveness, his unwavering dedication to excellence, and his stellar work ethic. He was greatly inspired by his mother, a widowed single mother who encouraged his passion for music and art while emphasizing the importance of working hard and maintaining versatile interests. Among the many highlights of his profession, he is incredibly grateful for the subtle nuances of his role, including forging connections with those who have gone above and beyond to support their families while operating within federal guidelines. In the coming years, Mr. Ramos is entertaining a future as a teacher following his retirement from the field of law, as he believes there is much potential good he can do for future generations due to his experience and his bilingual skills.
