He was a volunteer coach of the Mid Valley Youth Baseball for two years and served in the United States Marine Corps for four years.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Hackett remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the American National Theatre and Academy. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He received numerous appreciation awards from clients and was interviewed on the news for his significant contributions to three high-profile and impactful cases. In the immediate future, he intends to impart his knowledge by teaching various courses in his field, specifically focusing on civil procedure and criminal law.
