She worked as an associate at Cassidy & Associates from 1997 to 2001. At SmartForce, she was active as a government liaison from 2001 to 2002.

Mrs. Walsh continued her career as an executive vice president at Public Policy Partners from 2003 to 2004. She found success as a summer legal clerk at Regan & Associates, P.L.C. in 2005. At ML Strategies, LLC, she established herself as director of government relations from 2007 to 2013. She has garnered a stellar reputation as president of Dynamic Change Group, LLC since 2013.

Before embarking on her professional path, Mrs. Walsh pursued an education at James Madison University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in art history and history, cum laude, in 1991. She concluded her studies at Georgetown University Law Center, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2007. Beyond her responsibilities within the field, she has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She held the role of president of the Alumni Board of Directors at James Madison University College of Arts and Letters and precinct captain of the Arlington County Democratic Committee. She was featured in James Madison Arts and Letters Publication in 2024.

In light of her impressive undertakings, Mrs. Walsh has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was presented with the Herselle Milliken Precinct Captain of the Year Award by the Arlington Democrats in 2015. She considers making contributions to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022 among the most significant accomplishments of her career. She worked closely with members of Congress on several long-term initiatives incorporated into the landmark legislation, including expanding the investment tax credit to include biogas properties, expanding the Rural Energy for America Program with significant additional funding, setting up a fund for underserved technologies, and extending several tax credits within the renewable energy industry.
