With 24 years of experience to her credit, Mrs. Turner has excelled as director of investigation and monitoring at the Oklahoma Disability Law Center, Inc. since 2019. She has spent the duration of her legal career with the same, serving as an attorney from 2000 to 2017 and as the managing attorney of monitoring, investigations, and Social Security representative payee grant program from 2017 to 2019.

Before embarking on her professional path, Mrs. Turner pursued an education at Evangel University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in history in 1995. She concluded her studies at the Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1999. She has been licensed to practice law by the Oklahoma Bar Association and has been admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Mrs. Turner has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has volunteered with Savannah Station Therapeutic Riding Program Inc. since 2022. She joined the board in 2023 and has held the role of vice president since January, 2024. She served as co-host of the “Top 11 at 11 with DK and Joy” along with her husband on Crossover Radio from 2019 to 2021. In addition to her primary vocation, she remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the National Federation of Republican Women, the Oklahoma Republican Party, the Canadian County Republican Party, and Countyline Republican Women.

Mrs. Turner’s career is highlighted by many notable achievements. In 2019, she and a colleague presented a case against the Oklahoma Healthcare Authority and won, requiring it to provide ABA therapy as a covered service under its Medicaid program. In another case, she successfully negotiated a settlement on behalf of a client who was blind with the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, requiring the airport to make their website accessible for individuals who use a screen readers. The negotiations with the airport also resulted in their reinstating curbside services which was a service needed by her client. In yet another case, she was co-counsel in suing the State of Oklahoma, Senate, and House of Representatives to compel them to provide closed captioning for all live proceedings and archives in order to allow anyone with a hearing impairment to rewatch them. In the immediate future, she aims to bring about systemic change and extend her impact to even more people.
