He began his career as an attorney with Albertson’s from 1995 to 1998 and with Hurley, Lynch & Re from 1998 to 2002. He garnered a stellar reputation as chief operations officer at Heron Lakes Golf Course from 2003 to 2007 before establishing himself as owner of Troy Wood Acquisitions from 2007 to 2010. He was active as an attorney at law for the Law Offices of Bryan W. Gruetter, PC from 2010 to 2012. He continued his career as owner of Troy J. Wood, Attorney at Law from 2012 to 2013.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Wood pursued an education at the University of the Pacific where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in pre-law, cum laude, in 1992. He concluded his studies at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1995. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He held executive and leadership positions with the Portland Youth Golf Association, now the First Tee of Portland, and the Multnomah Bar Association. Moreover, he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1988 to 1993.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Wood remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the Oregon State Bar Association, Oregon’s Licensing Paralegals, the Oregon State Board of Bar Examiners, the Committee of Paralegal Assessors, and the Council of Bar Admissions Administrators. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps Reserves, was presented with a Scholar Athlete Award from the University of the Pacific, and was named to the Dean’s List in 1995.
