Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Vaval pursued an education at the Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf where she earned a diploma of vocational studies in sces humaines internationals in 2004. She continued her academic efforts at the Université du Québec à Montréal, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws in 2005. At École du Barreau, she completed a formation professionnelle in law in 2008. At the University of Sherbrooke, she accrued a master’s degree in 2008 and a Juris Doctorate in common law et droit transnational in 2009. She concluded her studies at the University of Montreal, graduating with a bachelor of exercise and sports medicine in 2009.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Vaval has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She served in executive and leadership roles on the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of Haiti, the American Chamber of Commerce in Haiti, ICANN, the Haiti Chapter of the Internet Society, and the Latin American Association for IP Practitioners. She also served as a ccNSO councilor. She holds certifications from the WIPO-US Summer School on Intellectual Property and the Université de Montréal.

 In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Vaval remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the INTA and the IBA. She attributes her success to her involvement with the Chamber of Commerce, networking, and education. She has been interested in law, IT, intellectual property, music, and construction/architecture. In fact, she does pro bono work in the IT and the music industry.

One of Ms. Vaval’s most notable achievements was managing the transition of a large Canadian bank when they left the country. She oversaw the sale of their assets to a Haitian bank. With 12 years of experience, she is proud of her accomplishments. In the immediate future, she aims to acquire certification in another jurisdiction. Additionally, she intends to become a member of the New York Bar Association.
