With more than 10 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Dimler has excelled as senior commercial counsel at Twist Bioscience since 2022. He initiated his involvement with the same as commercial counsel from 2021 to 2022. He began his career as a high school and college-level teaching assistant and an emergency medical technician. He worked as a congressional intern for the United States House of Representatives in 2010 and as a trauma research intern at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital in 2011. He was active as a pool service technician with Community Pool Services, Inc. from 2012 to 2013.
He continued his career as a life insurance agent at American Income Life Insurance Company in 2013. He found success as a judicial extern for the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County in 2015. As an associate, he contributed to Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati from 2016 to 2020. He established himself in licensing with Strategic Partnering & Commercial Transactions Associate Gunderson Dettmer from 2020 to 2021. He has held the role of adjunct professor at the California Western School of Law since 2022.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Dimler pursued an education at Whittier College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology in 2012. He continued his academic efforts at George Washington University Law School, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2017. He holds several certifications from LinkedIn including coaching skills for leaders and managers, leading with emotional intelligence, inclusive mindset, unlocking authentic communication in a culturally diverse workplace, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, negotiating the nonnegotiable. Furthermore, he holds emergency medical technician certifications from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, the California Emergency Medical Technician, and the County of San Diego Emergency Medical Technician.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Dimler has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He offered pro bono services with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and the Casa Cornelia Law Center. He coached tennis at the high school and college level and found success as the author of “Functional Assessment of Pharmacological Telomerase Activators in Human T Cells” in 2013.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Dimler has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was named among the Top 50 Attorneys in San Diego by Intel Lawyers in 2023. He was presented with the 2019 Pro Bono Publico Award/La Mancha Award from the Casa Cornelia Law Center and the John Wilson Award from the Pro Bono Committee of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in 2018 and 2019.
