Mr. Freidel’s educational journey began with obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in history from Rider University in 1976. His pursuit of legal expertise led him to obtain a Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in 1988. In 1992, he founded the Law Office of S. Robert Freidel, dedicating himself to its operations until his retirement in 2022. Prior to transitioning to law, Mr. Freidel excelled in the corporate realm, notably serving as the regional training manager for CVS.
A distinguished figure in civic service, Mr. Freidel holds a notable position within Lions Clubs International, where he’s a global membership team leader for Southern New Jersey. He has also held key positions, including district governor for the State of New Jersey. Mr. Freidel boasts a decorated history, having received the Lions Clubs International Presidential Medals thrice in 2016, 2017, and 2020, alongside the Governor’s Excellence Award for his exceptional contributions as a district governor in 2015 and 2016.
Throughout his career, Mr. Freidel has taken immense pride in his numerous legal victories that have positively impacted his clients. His role as a successful leader within Lions Clubs International brings him equal fulfillment. Notably, in June 2023, as the district governor for New Jersey Lions Multiple District 16, he spearheaded the Lions Flight for Sight Hot Air Balloon Festival. This event aimed to collect and distribute used eyeglasses to those in need, underscoring his commitment to philanthropy and community service. In the coming years, Mr. Freidel envisions furthering his contributions to Lions Clubs International, aiming to take on the role of global membership team leader in New Jersey. Additionally, he aspires to author a book on the history of the New Jersey Lions, continuing to enrich the organization’s brand and community initiatives.
