With more than 50 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Lamagna has excelled as an attorney focusing on corporate transactions, real estate transactions, estate planning and affordable housing consulting who has operated out of the Lamagna Law Offices since 1972. During this time, he has been additionally active as the president of the Rawson Consulting and Marketing Corporation and a member of the board of directors for the Fogarty Center. Likewise, Mr. Lamagna formerly served as the vice president and general counsel for the NESCTC Security Agency LLC in 2022 as well as the commissioner for the Cumberland Housing Authority from 1992 to 2015.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Lamagna pursued an education at Providence College, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. He concluded his studies at Suffolk University Law School in 1972, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Lamagna was admitted to practice law before the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Pawtucket Bar Association.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Lamagna has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He has been notably recognized as the Businessman of the Year by the Portuguese American Citizens Committee of Rhode Island and the Commissioner of the Year by the Regional Council of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Mr. Lamagna was also presented with a Lifetime Achievements Award from the Top 100 Lawyers in America and the Anton Outstanding Commissioner Award from the Rhode Island Executive Director Association.
Mr. Lamagna attributes his success to the opportunity to attend and graduate from law school as well as his high ethical standards and the encouragement of his wife and mentors. Among the many highlights of his career, he is incredibly proud of his service on various housing and redevelopment committees over the years, in addition to the regular presentations he has conducted on a regional and national level since 2000. In the coming years, Mr. Lamagna hopes to continue focusing on his consulting work in the affordable housing industry while dedicating his spare time to traveling and witnessing his grandchildren grow up and attend college.
