Victor Bianchini, U.S. Magistrate Judge with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and Mediator and Arbitrator with Judicate West, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership as a legal professional.
Since 2002, Mr. Bianchini has excelled as a U.S. Magistrate Judge with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Alongside this role, he has been a mediator and arbitrator with Judicate West. With more than 60 years of experience to his credit, he was a U.S. Magistrate Judge with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington from 2013 to 2015 and a U.S. Magistrate Judge from 2007 to 2012.
From 1978 to 2004, Mr. Bianchini excelled as the department chair of criminal justice and business law at National University. From 1982 to 2002, he was a superior court judge with the Superior Court of California in the County of San Diego. He began his career in the law as a confidential law clerk to the U.S. District Court Chief Judge James M. Carter with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. From 1969 to 1973, he shared his knowledge as an associate professor at San Diego University. Mr. Bianchini served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1959 to 1991, rising from first lieutenant to the rank of colonel.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Bianchini attended San Diego State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1960. In 1963, he graduated from the University of San Diego’s School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Among his professional accomplishments in the law, Mr. Bianchini was named a “Legend of the Bar” by the San Diego County Bar Association’s Oral History Project.
Mr. Bianchini has been recognized for his esteemed legal career with numerous awards and accolades. He was recognized as a Distinguished Alumni of San Diego State University in 2018 and received an award for excellence in pro se case management strategies from the Ninth Circuit Pro Se Implementation Committee in 2016. In 1998, Mr. Bianchini earned a Legion of Merit Award from the U.S. Marine Corps, and in 1992, he was named Trial Judge of the Year by the San Diego Trial Lawyers Association. In the future, he hopes to continue working as a mediator and arbitrator while spending more time traveling and building an inheritance for his children.
