Gabriel Murguia-Lavalle, assistant general counsel for Latin America at TE Connectivity, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of legal service.
With more than two decades of experience to his credit in the field of law, Mr. Murguia-Lavalle has earned distinction through his role at TE Connectivity, an American-Swiss technology company that specializes in connectors and sensors on behalf of numerous industries. In his capacity as the assistant general counsel of the Latin American division, he began at the company in 2013 with the intention of opening a legal department in Mexico, after which he went on to cover all operations in Central America. Prior to this role, Mr. Murguia-Lavalle served as senior legal counsel at Aptiv PLC between 2008 and 2013, as a legal counselor at GCC from 2004 to 2007, and as a senior associate with Deloitte from 2001 until 2003. Outside of his primary career endeavors, he presently delivers free lectures at a Mexican university, and is a member of the Latin American Corporate Counsel Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel in Mexico.
Mr. Murguia-Lavalle initially embarked upon his professional journey after meeting with a lawyer in high school. He subsequently attained a Bachelor of Laws at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez in 2000, and went on to undertake coursework at the University of California Davis and Boston University. Throughout the course of his career, he has focused much of his practice on compliance, commercial labor employment and corporate law. As dedicated to civic advocacy as he is to the advancement of legal service, Mr. Murguia-Lavalle is an avid supporter of various charitable organizations in Juárez, Mexico, as well as various animal rescue shelters and nonprofits that combat food insecurity.
