Prior to beginning his current legal endeavors, Mr. Roden excelled as a founder of Law Tigers. Furthermore, at the onset of his career, he worked with another local personal injury law firm in Alabama for several years. Throughout his time in the field, he has tried more than 150 cases, several of which were multi-district litigation cases, including one against a manufacturer of ephedra supplements for personal injuries and wrongful death. In his adjacent civic-minded pursuits, Mr. Roden is the founder and chairman emeritus of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, where he has operated since 1993.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Roden pursued a formal education, originally earning a Bachelor of Arts in finance and marketing at The University of Alabama. He subsequently attended the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he achieved Juris Doctor in 1974. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Roden has been admitted to practice law before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. Likewise, he is counted as a member of the Alabama State Bar.
To commemorate his achievements, Mr. Roden has been honored with several accolades over the course of his career. To wit, he was named in the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers in 2019, and in 1993, he received an Award for Outstanding Services from the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association. Attributing his success to his ambition, compassion and drive, he is proud to have faithfully represented his clientele for many years, particularly in various cases following gross misconduct from the Monsanto Company, which wrongfully put toxic industrial chemicals in local water supplies. In the coming years, Mr. Roden hopes to continue his work in the field while also preparing his sons to continue his legacy.
