With more than six decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Lawson has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of law. From the onset of his career in 1961 until his recent retirement in 2023, he operated as a lead partner and lawyer at Beckman Lawson LLP, his law firm based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A proven specialist in the field, he largely specialized in casework pertaining to business mediation, in addition to providing other various legal services. While he is now retired from full-time work, he presently remains active as a consultant. Furthermore, Mr. Lawson has served as a seminar presenter and writer for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum in Indianapolis since 1970.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Lawson pursued a formal education, ultimately achieving a Juris Doctor at Valparaiso University in 1961. In addition to his academic credentials, he is certified in mediation in Indiana and the United States Virgin Islands. Furthermore, he has been admitted to practice law by the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Well-regarded for his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Lawson maintained his AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell from 2007 to 2023. Accounting for his achievements, he is particularly proud of his record of pro bono work.
