Snoddy in Prince George’s County, Maryland in 2018 and a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Michelle Rick for the 29th Judicial Circuit Court in Michigan in 2017. Moreover, he was active as an extern with the juvenile lifer division of the Michigan State Appellate Defender’s Office in 2017, a junior associate for the Access to Bankruptcy Court from 2016 to 2017 and a law clerk with Graving & Associates PLLC in 2016. He began his career as a research assistant with Bowie State University in 2012. Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Elira has worked as a business officer for Tuskegee Airmen Inc., general counsel for Groove Phi Groove, a public speaker for Bowie State University and in-house counsel for Kent Baptist Church.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Elira pursued an education at Bowie State University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminal and social justice, summa cum laude, in 2013. He concluded his studies at Western Michigan University in 2018, graduating from Cooley Law School with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude. Attributing his success to his faith, his commitment to helping others, and his ability to take advantage of his opportunities, he is incredibly proud of opening his firm in 2021 following the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also grateful to have his piece of mind, good health, strong mental health, and a loving family that supports him. In the coming years, Mr. Elira hopes to expand The Elira Law Firm LLC to states outside of Maryland, Washington and Virginia while adding more attorneys to his staff.
