As part of his earliest efforts, he was the vice president of the Baylor Chamber of Commerce at Baylor University, his alma mater, between 1966 and 1967. As a student of the institution, he originally earned a Bachelor of Arts in economic and political science in 1963. He subsequently attended the Baylor Law School and achieved a Juris Doctor in 1970. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Snowden has been licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association.
