Bolstered by three decades of experience, Ms. Tucker is a proven expert in the field of law. Specializing in finances and insurance, she recently began serving as a founding partner of Monahan Tucker Law P.C. in July 2023. As part of her work in the field, she focuses on casework pertaining to insurance litigation and employee insurance benefit disputes. Prior to beginning her own practice, Ms. Tucker excelled as a partner for Kantor & Kantor LLP from 2020 to 2023.
In her other professional endeavors, Ms. Tucker was a managing partner for the Seattle office of Ropers Majeski from 2009 to 2019. Furthermore, she operated as an attorney for Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP from 2006 to 2008 and with Jones Day from 2001 to 2006. At the onset of her career, she worked as an analyst for Medimetrix Consulting from 1994 to 1996. Ever committed to her professional endeavors, Ms. Tucker remains affiliated with several pertinent organizations, including the American Bar Association, the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.
As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Tucker pursued a formal education at The University of Chicago. During her time at the institution, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and sociology in 1994 and a Juris Doctor from the college’s law school in 2001. Outside of her primary professional interests, Ms. Tucker has also participated on the board of directors for the Center for Chronic Illness since 2022.
In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. Tucker was featured in the Top 25 Attorneys in Washington by Attorney Intel in 2023. Likewise, she was named among the Bets Lawyers by U.S. News & World Report L.P. in 2022. Since 2016, she has also maintained an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Accounting for her achievements, she is particularly proud of her recent court victory in the Ninth Circuit, which confirmed the obligation of a disability insurance company to conduct thorough investigations before applying insurance exclusions. In the coming years, Ms. Tucker looks forward to further expanding her practice by taking on more work that aligns with her goals and values.
