Frederick J. Telecky Jr., independent contractor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of intellectual property.
Bolstered by four decades of experience, Mr. Telecky has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of law. Specializing in intellectual property law, licensing and contracting, and mergers and acquisitions, he has operated as an independent contractor since 2021. As part of his work in the field, he primarily represents individuals and clients with licensing conflicts, providing arbitration work for patents and conducting a wealth of joint venture work with fellow professionals.
Prior to becoming a self-employed lawyer, Mr. Telecky excelled as the president of Velos Media from 2017 to 2020. Furthermore, he was the manager of patent licensing for PPM from 2015 to 2017. In his other previous work experiences, he worked extensively in several legal leadership roles with Texas Instruments, originally joining the company as a patent prosecution attorney in 1986 and later becoming the senior vice president and general patent counsel from 2000 to 2015. At the onset of his career, Mr. Telecky worked in the field of engineering as a design engineer for Caterpillar Inc. from 1983 to 1986.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Telecky pursued a formal education, earning a bachelor’s degree in physics at Eastern Illinois University in 1974. He subsequently continued his studies at his alma mater and earned a second bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 1975. Likewise, he achieved a Juris Doctor at the Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1978. In conclusion of his academic pursuits, Mr. Telecky received a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Cleveland State University in 1985. In addition to his academic credentials, he is also licensed as an attorney by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
In addition to his accomplishments in the field of law, Mr. Telecky also honorably served in the United States Navy for several years as an antisubmarine warfare electronics technician and flight crew member. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his educational background and willingness to work hard and take on new challenges. Accounting for his achievements, he is particularly proud to have won billions of dollars in settlements for his licensing cases. In the coming years, Mr. Telecky hopes to take on even more work in the IP field.
