Anna Sanderson Weiss, Regional Managing Partner for Latin America and Caribbean at Kennedys, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction law.
With 20 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Weiss has excelled as the regional managing partner for Latin America and the Caribbean for Kennedys since 2020. She is incredibly proud of her endeavors in her present post, as she is able to combine her technical legal background and her extensive commercial expertise to meet her clients’ needs and expand upon her practice areas. Prior to this position, Ms. Weiss was found success in a number of roles with Kennedys between 2013 and 2020, including the head of construction for Latin America and the Caribbean, a partner, the deputy head and an associate.
During this time, Ms. Weiss was additionally active as the co-founder of The Society of Construction Law North America in 2018. She previously served as legal counsel for AEG from 2007 to 2010, a senior associate for Olswang from 2010 to 2013 and an associate with Herbert Smith from 2003 to 2007. Attributing her success to her authenticity, her proactive approach to seizing opportunities in her field, her thirst for knowledge and her fearlessness, Ms. Weiss was recognized as a Recommended Lawyer by the Legal 500 annually since 2021.
Hailing from a family with a strong legal background, Ms. Weiss initially pursued an education at the University of Poitiers, completing coursework in law from 1999 to 2000. She continued her academic efforts at the University of Bristol, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws in law and French in 2001. Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, she concluded her studies with a legal practice course at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice from 2001 to 2002. In the coming years, Ms. Weiss hopes to lead and manage her practice in a growing region while expanding what Kennedys can offer both clients and collaborators.
