Cynthia Compton Stone, independent family law consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of family law.

With more than five decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Stone has cultivated an accomplished career in the field of law. Specializing in family law, she previously served as the founder and one of the lead attorneys at Stone, Pregliasco, Haines, Bouba from 1998 to 2003. Since departing from the company, she has served as an independent family law consultant. Additionally, in 1990, she founded Compton Antiques, where she worked until 2009. Ms. Stone originally began her career as an associate partner for Rice, Porter and Seiller (now Seiller Waterman LLC) in 1984. As part of her dedication to her profession, she has also been affiliated with several pertinent organizations over the course of her career, including the Women Lawyers Association, where she served as president in 1989.

As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Stone pursued a formal education, studying at the University of Louisville and earning a Bachelor of Arts in biology. She subsequently continued her studies at her alma mater’s Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, achieving a Juris Doctor in 1982. In addition to her academic credentials, she was also licensed to practice law by the Kentucky Bar Association in 1983, and she regularly participated with the Louisville Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Well-regarded for her achievements in the field, Ms. Stone received an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell in 2002. Attributing much of her success to her drive and dedicated work ethic, she is particularly proud to have helped many people throughout her time in her profession.
