Alongside her primary degrees, Ms. Smith holds multiple professional credentials. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2017. In addition, she has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.
Ms. Smith maintains affiliation with the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and the English Honor Society. For her professional excellence, she received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award from the South Texas College of Law Houston in 2016. She was an “Unsung Hero” Award Nominee with the Alpha Omicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa in 2011 and received a Katie Bryant Endowed Award for Excellence from Tyler Junior College in 2011.
