He previously practiced as an attorney with The Law Firm of Stephen M. Reck LLC from 2008 to 2015. From 2003 to 2008, he was an attorney with Gordon Muir & Foley LLP, and from 1995 to 2003, he was an attorney at The Reardon Law Firm PC.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Camassar attended the University of Connecticut, graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, magna cum laude. He concluded his higher education at the Western New England College School of Law, now the Western New England University School of Law, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1995. Mr. Camassar has been admitted to practice by Connecticut state and federal courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.

Alongside his primary positions, Mr. Camassar is the founder of Kids Against Distracted Driving. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Norwich Ethics Commission, and from 2013 to 2014, he was a member of the City of Norwich Police Station Committee. As a testament to his professional reputation, Mr. Camassar has been selected by his peers as an arbitrator for other lawyers’ cases. Among his most significant verdicts, he secured over $2.5 million for a woman who suffered a traumatic brain injury after being hit by the rear end of a tractor-trailer.

For his professional excellence, Mr. Camassar has been awarded a BV Rating by Martindale-Hubbell. He was also named a Top Rated Lawyer by Avvo in 2020 and was recognized with a Client’s Choice Award. Mr. Camassar was the president of the Beth Jacob Synagogue from 2007 to 2010, and since 1996 he has served on the synagogue’s board of directors. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading, football and baseball.
