David L. Reed, President and Founder at Reed CNY Business Law, P.C., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in international law.
Having accrued more than 35 years of expertise in the legal profession, Mr. Reed commenced his career upon earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1985. In the early years of his career, he served in various associate and associate counsel roles for Hancock Estabrook LLP, Scolaro Schulman Law Firm, FAY’s Inc., Bristol-Myers Squibb and the Linvatec Corporation. In 2002, Mr. Reed excelled as senior counsel for Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation until becoming the assistant vice president of IMCLONE Systems Inc. in 2005. One year later, he served as a compliance office, corporate secretary and senior director of legal affairs for Osteotech, Inc. Between 2008 and 2014, he also gained experience as an attorney for Axiom Law Firm, general counsel for Rondaxe Pharmaceuticals and director of new initiatives for F.O.C.U.S. Greater Syracuse.
Today, Mr. Reed offers his knowledge in various capacities, including as an international law professor at Al-Yamamah University in Saudi Arabia since 2020 and as an adjunct professor for international business transactions at the Syracuse University College of Law since 2018. He has also served on the management team for BioPortUSA since 2018, as general counsel for Ichor Life Sciences, Inc. since 2014, as president of Reed CNY Business Law, P.C. since 2009 and as of counsel for Schuster Arguilo, LLP in Puerto Rico since 2007. In a career filled with highlights, Mr. Reed is particularly proud of patenting a unique joint revision implant in 2013. A member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and International Moot Court, he attributes his success to his perspective and his ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
