William Studer, Retired Attorney at Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in civil litigation and product liability law.

Mr. Studer is an accomplished attorney with more than 35 years of experience to his credit. From 1971 until his retirement in 2007, he served as a lawyer with Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP, now part of the national firm Fox Rothschild LLP. His areas of expertise include civil litigation and product liability law. From 1965 to 1968, Mr. Studer contributed his knowledge as a teacher at Ganesha High School in Pomona, California.

In preparation for his legal career, Mr. Studer attended St. Cloud State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1963. In 1965, he earned a Master of Arts in theater arts from the same institution. He concluded his higher education at the University of Minnesota in 1971, graduating magna cum laude with a Doctor of Jurisprudence.

Mr. Studer served on the board of directors of the Product Liability Advisory Council Inc. in Reston, Virginia. He held the positions of secretary, treasurer, vice president, and president with the aforementioned organization, and he has maintained affiliation with the American Bar Association, Ramsey County Bar Association, and Minnesota State Bar Association. In addition to his legal career, Mr. Studer contributed as a lector to Saint Mary of the Lake, where he served as a Eucharistic minister. He was also a lector at Saint Genevieve.

Mr. Studer attributes his professional success to his mentors and influences, many of whom were educators. He initially tried to enlist in the United States Military, but after he was refused as an officer and dissuaded by the negative experiences of his friends who were drafted, he decided against it. He worked as a teacher until he was too old to be drafted and subsequently entered law school, beginning his legal career. Among his career accomplishments, Mr. Studer is proudest of his work with the Product Liability Advisory Council Inc. Since his retirement, he has returned to his passion for theater and participated in dozens of plays and productions.
