Prior to her current appointments, she served as the division chief for the Maryland Insurance Administration from 1997 to 2000. She originally began her career in 1995, working as the director of compliance for Principal Financial Services Inc. until 1997. As part of her dedication to her profession, Ms. Raysor-Taylor remains affiliated with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the American Bar Association.
Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Raysor-Taylor pursued a formal education, beginning with her time at Columbia College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in health care administration and management. She subsequently continued her studies at the University of Baltimore from 1993 to 1997, during which time she earned Master of Public Administration, Master of Laws and Juris Doctor. Ms. Raysor-Taylor is currently pursuing a PhD in criminology at Liberty University, and she expects to complete her doctoral program in 2023. In addition to her academic credentials, she is fully licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland. Well regarded for her accomplishments in the field, she has been honored with several accolades over the course of her career, including the Barred and Beautiful Award in 2021 and a Maryland Citation for Excellence in 2000. In the coming years, Ms. Raysor-Taylor hopes to start a nonprofit organization and engage in more domestic violence research.
