Originally hailing from England, Ms. Patel obtained a Bachelor of Law from Coventry University in 1998 and subsequently earned a postgraduate diploma in legal practice in 1999 from The College of Law in York. She continued her education with a Master of Laws in international business law from the University of Manchester in 2001. She is licensed to practice law in England and Wales, all European courts, all New York state courts, all California state courts, the Central Federal District Court and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Patel’s professional affiliations include the California State Bar, New York State Bar, United States Federal Bar, Law Society of England and Wales and the International Bar Association.
Since 2002, Ms. Patel has excelled as an attorney and partner with Mozingo & Patel, A.P.C., a premier law firm based in Orange County, California whose practice areas include estate planning, asset protection, business law and business succession planning, commercial and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, business and commercial litigation, trusts and estates, probate and elder law. She has been recognized in Super Lawyers in 2015 and 2016 and the Best of the Best Attorneys—Top 10 Estate Planning in 2021 and 2022 and as Litigator of the Year in 2021 and 2022. Dedicated to public and legal service, Ms. Patel volunteered for Mother Teresa’s organization in India from 1999 until 2000 and today acts as treasurer and secretary of the International Bar Association. She is also active in many legal organizations in the United States and abroad, most particularly the Law Society of England and Wales and the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Patel is also an acting member of the Federal Bar Association.
Ms. Patel attributes her success to being able to inspire her children that no matter what, they can achieve anything. Her children have fueled and inspired her to continue pushing as hard as she does. The highlight of Ms. Patel’s career was self-teaching herself the New York Bar in 2003. She did it in eight weeks and passed the bar, and then had just six weeks to self-teach herself for the California Bar examination in 2003 and passed it as well. In the coming years, Ms. Patel would grow her business, touch more people’s lives and have a positive impact in those lives.
