Mr. Ottley began his education at St. John’s University in Queens, New York, graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science. He subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor degree at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 1996. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association. He is also a certified physician assistant, a licensed physician assistant and a licensed life, accident and health insurance consultant. His career path was inspired by personal experiences that led him, at different times, to pursue medicine, law and insurance.
Since 2004, Mr. Ottley has served as the attorney for the Ottley Law Firm, P.C. He is also a physician assistant at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and New York University Langone Health. He has been honored as one of the Top Litigators in Brooklyn and one of the Top Attorneys in North America. He was also presented with the President’s Achievement Award for the Reimbursement Committee of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants. One highlight of his career came when he argued a case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and won. The trial and its outcome were published in the New York Law Journal. He has penned, co-authored and contributed to several published works in the fields of both law and medicine.
