Originally hailing from Germany, Mr. Schlee obtained the equivalent of a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1987. Mr. Schlee provided superior service as an associate and partner with Viering, Jentschura & Partners in Munich from 1988 to 2006, where he practiced in patent litigation. He immigrated to the United States in 2000 to found and manage the firm’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Schlee has been licensed to practice as a German, European and United States patent attorney, as well as an attorney-at-law in the state of California.

Deeply committed to his field, Mr. Schlee participated with Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association (LAIPLA) as president, board member and an officer from 2005 to 2012, as well as the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) and the German American Business Association (GABA).

As a career highlight, Mr. Schlee cites his unique status as a patent attorney in the United States and Germany. In addition, he mentions his term as president of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association.
