Thomas Culpepper, Partner at Thompson Coe, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in professional liability and personal injury litigation.
Following obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration in business and a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1986 from Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas, Mr. Culpepper continued his education with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1991 from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio.
Mr. Thompson has provided superior service as a partner since 1991 and as a managing partner since 2011 with Thompson Coe in Dallas, where he specializes in cases involving professional liability, commercial disputes, and insurance coverage disputes and has resolved hundreds of cases outside of trial and tried over 20 cases to verdict, representing attorneys, insurance agents, insurers, real estate brokers, commercial property owners, accountants, third party administrators, officers and directors, and other professionals.
Mr. Culpepper was selected to Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, from 2005 to 2007 and from 2020 to 2022. In addition, he has been favorably rated by The Best Lawyers in America, where he received a Lawyer of the Year award in 2021, as well as Texas Super Lawyers and Martingale Hubbell. Mr. Culpepper was listed Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine on three occasions.
Mr. Culpepper attributes his success to his good communication and listening skills. Being able to handle more than 30 professional liability cases successfully has been what Mr. Culpepper considers to be his most notable accomplishment, along with capturing Lawyer of the Year honors as well as his 30-year tenure with Thompson Coe.
