Following obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in Jewish studies in 2012 from The City College of New York, Ms. Boruchov obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2014 from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. She continued her education with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in corporate law from the Benjamin M. Cardozo School of Law in New York in 2016. Ms. Boruchov is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
In 2014, Ms. Boruchov gained valuable experience as a legal intern in the Law Office of Gary S. Josephs, as a legal extern with Henry Schein in Melville, New York and as a contracts teaching assistant with Professor Jack Graves in Touro Law Center. As a legal intern with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Brooklyn in 2015, she reviewed and prepared litigation documents and drafted motions of findings and conclusions on behalf of VA medical centers. The same year, she served as a legal extern with the New York State Department of Financial Services Holocaust Claims Processing Office.
As a law clerk with Tenenbaum Law PC in New York from 2016 to 2017, Ms. Boruchov assisted in the resolution of Federal and New York State tax controversies, conducted tax law research and negotiated the release of levies, liens and warrants. As an attorney with the firm from 2017 to 2020, she represented individuals and business entities in tax controversy matters involving Federal and New York State audit and collection issues. Since 2019, Ms. Boruchov has prospered as special counsel with The Basile Law Firm P.C. in Jericho, New York, in which she practices tax mitigation strategy and compliance issues for domestic and international entrepreneurial client base.
In 2020, Ms. Boruchov co-founded Boruchov, Gabovich & Associates, PC in New York, where she represents individuals and business entities in tax controversy matters involving Federal and New York State audit and collection issues, as well as facilitates the resolution of controversies involving liens, levies, warrants, seizures, penalty abatements, Offers in Compromise, income tax audits, installment agreements, responsible person assessments, trust fund recovery penalties, innocent spouse relief, New York State residency audits, New York State driver’s license suspensions, federal passport revocations, New York State sales and use tax audits and voluntary disclosures.
Ms. Boruchov’s numerous honors include a listing in Top 100 Attorneys from Top 100 Magazine in 2022, a selection for inclusion in New York Metro Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement each year from 2019 to 2021, 40 Under 40 in Long Island Business News in 2019, a Diversity in Business Award, an Outstanding Women in Law Award from Hofstra Law School and Power Woman of Long Island from Schneps Media. Ms. Boruchov, the first member of her family to get a graduate degree, maintains that the driving force to succeed in everything she does is her daughter, who serves as a constant inspiration for her to succeed.
