Rodney Gregory, Attorney at The Gregory Law Firm, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in civil litigation.

After obtaining an Associate of Arts in liberal arts with honors from Olive-Harvey Junior College, Chicago, Mr. Gregory followed with a Bachelor of Science in management from University of Illinois, Chicago. He continued his education with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Washington and Lee University School of Law, Lexington, Virginia and a Master of Laws in advanced civil litigation in 2000 from Nottingham Trent University School of Law, Nottingham, England. He has been admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar, Florida Bar, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, Middle District of Florida and Northern District of Florida.

Following clerking for the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and U.S. Commission for Civil Rights, Mr. Gregory excelled as assistant Florida state attorney and attorney general and with the firms Lassiter and Gregory and Gregory, Smith and Jones. In 1985, he founded the Gregory Law Firm in Jacksonville, where his areas of expertise include complex civil litigation, personal Injury, professional negligence, white collar criminal litigation, family litigation and probate.

Mr. Gregory has also provided superior education as an assistant and associate professor of law with Florida Coastal School of Law and as a visiting professor at his alma mater Nottingham Trent University School of Law. He has also served as a business law instructor with Florida State College Jacksonville and is a frequent lecturer and moderator of CLE courses for various trial associations across the country and for the Congressional Black Caucus.

Mr. Gregory has appeared extensively in the print and electronic media discussing litigation matters, high profile cases, community issues, and other matters of civic concern, including numerous appearances on Court TV, C-Span, PBS, CNN, Fox News, and other national programs. He has been listed in Nation’s Top One Percent in 2015 by National Association of Distinguished Counsel and in Top 100 Trial Lawyers in 2015 by The National Trial Lawyers. Mr. Gregory’s professional memberships include the Florida Justice Association, Minority Caucus Delegate to American Association for Justice (AAJ), D. W. Perkins Bar Association, Southern Trial Lawyers, Florida Bar Foundation, National Urban League and The Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association.

Mr. Gregory attributes his success to realizing that it is more important to share than to receive. As a youth, he was inspired to become a trial lawyer by the fictional TV character Perry Mason. In coming years, he sees himself elevated to being a philanthropist and supporting numerous nonprofits organizations and foundations, which he intends to accomplish by sharing his knowledge of skills and funds to the point of being a benefactor.
