Takamasa Kikui, Partner at Ernst & Young Global and Ernst & Young Asia-Pacific, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business services.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce from Meiji University, Mr. Kikui continued his education with a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management at University of New South Wales Business School in 1995 after immigrating to Australia.
Mr. Kikui has excelled as an auditor and partner with multinational professional services network Ernst & Young since 1997, having additionally served as the global leader in the network’s Japan Business Services Group since 2019. In this capacity, he has worked on audits of numerous Japanese companies, operating closely with Ernst & Young Japan’s member firms. Leveraging the aforementioned company’s global network, he supports a wide range of services including audits of Japanese companies, tax, government-related projects, infrastructure projects and M&A investment projects.
Mr. Kikui attributes his success to his family, who have supported and sacrificed so much for him, considering the fact that he has spent more than two-thirds of his time traveling overseas. Coming to Australia in 1997 after his marriage, he really had to start anew and was thereupon motivated to succeed professionally so that he could establish himself and be of help to Japanese and international clients. Mr. Kikui cites this experience as the beginning of his international career in business and finance.
Mr. Kikui has been incredibly proud to build a network and connecting companies to make his businesses grow. Through his work at Ernst and Young, he has been grateful for the many people working under him who have helped him build his network. In the coming years, Mr. Kikui would like to be able to contribute his skills and knowledge to a wider range of the Japanese community and mentor other young professionals to be successful in their chosen endeavors.
