Sheryl Menkes, Owner at Menkes Law Firm, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.
Since 1990, Ms. Menkes has prospered as owner of the Manhattan-based Menkes Law Firm, specializing in pursuing cases of nursing home negligence and abuse, motor vehicle and construction site accidents, medical malpractice and personal injury, obtaining millions of dollars in settlements for clients.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland in 1972, Ms. Menkes later followed with a Master of Business Administration from Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York in 1984. She continued her education with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Brooklyn Law School in 1989 and a Master of Laws in corporate law from New York University School of Law in 1992. Ms. Menkes excelled in marketing and advertising between 1984 and 1989 while serving as a night school business teacher with Washington Irving High School in Manhattan.
Ms. Menke serves on the board of directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers. Her other memberships include the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Nursing Home Litigation Section of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York County Lawyers Association, the New York Women’s Bar Association and Kings County Inns of Court. She takes pride in never having lost any of her clients’ cases and attributes a great deal of her success to her never-ending fight for justice. In the coming years, she hopes to affect legislation that improves the lives of patients in nursing homes.
