Michelle Chapman, Director at Case, Lombardi & Pettit, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in commercial litigation.
Since 2019, Ms. Chapman has excelled as director and shareholder with the law firm of Case, Lombardi and Pettit in Honolulu, a full-service commercial law firm offering real estate, business, employee benefits, bankruptcy, tax, estate planning, litigation and dispute resolution services. She concentrates her practice on representing businesses, nonprofit entities, directors and officers, employers and individuals across Hawaii in matters involving commercial litigation, professional liability defense, labor and employment law and also advises clients in compliance regulation and commercial transactions.
Ms. Chapman obtained a Bachelor of Science in 2007 and continued her education with a Juris Doctor in 2010 from Notre Dame University, South Bend, Indiana. While an undergraduate, she worked with the University of Notre Dame Center for Social Concerns, where she developed and managed service projects across Indiana and Illinois and continues active participation in local charitable organizations in Honolulu with the Access to Justice Room, where she provides legal advice to assist self-represented litigants. Ms. Chapman initially clerked for the Honorable Karl K. Sakamoto, a jurist in the First Circuit Court of Hawaii. She has been honored for her wide breadth of accomplishments by placement in America’s Top 100 for her work in Civil Defense Litigation since 2019, and has consistently been rated AV-Preeminent, the best possible, by prominent peer review law directory Martindale-Hubbell.
Citing her father and stepmother, both attorneys, for inspiring her career decision, Ms. Chapman attributes her success to being very engaged and excited about solving problems. In the near term, she is hoping for continued success with Case, Lombardi and Pettit.
