For more than four decades, Mr. Frisch as prospered as an attorney, counselor and compliance professional representing the financial services community, providing a wide array of compliance, regulatory, litigation advice and counsel. Following earning a Bachelor of Science in history and political science from the City College of New York in 1976, Mr. Frisch followed with coursework in business administration at Rutgers University in 1977. Mr. Frisch continued his education with a Juris Doctor from the Pace University School of Law, New York, in 1980. Mr. Frisch began his career as a law clerk for Shearson Hayden Stone from 1977 to 1980.
From 1977 to 1994, Mr. Frisch excelled as First Vice President and Senior Associate General Counsel with Shearson Lehman Brothers, and thereupon served as the assistant general counsel at Gruntal and Co. LLC until 1998. After providing superior service as a special counsel with Lubiner & Schmidt from 1998 to 1999 and senior vice president and compliance manager with Datek Online Holdings/TD Ameritrade from 1999 to 2003, Mr. Frisch served as senior counsel and consultant with Merrill Lynch from 2003 to 2008, where he was responsible for complex securities and commodities arbitration matters.
Mr. Frisch subsequently served of counsel for Alonso, Andalkar, Toro, Facher & MacAvoy P.C. from 2008 to 2010 and returned to Lubiner & Schmidt LLC, from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, Mr. Frisch further flourished as an attorney and paralegal for Greenberg Traurig LLP from 2015 to 2018 before becoming a contract attorney for Bressler, Amery & Ross P.C. in 2018. He founded Harry D. Frisch, Esq. PC in 2018, and maintains his memberships with the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Council, the New York County Lawyers Association, the Association of the Bar for the City of New York and the New York State Bar Association.
Attributing his success to hard work and luck, Mr. Frisch maintains that his steadfast dedication to ethics and zealous representation of clients have been key factors in his practice. In the near term, he intends to work a lot less while still involving himself with representing the securities industry, helping those who need his assistance and remaining connected to the industry. Currently, he serves as a FINRA arbitrator judge at the School of Law at St. John’s University in Queens, New York.
