Peter Finch, Attorney at The Finch Firm LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in personal injury litigation.
In 2016, Mr. Finch founded The Finch Firm, LLC in Bridgeport, where he excels in practicing personal injury law. In addition, he has partnered with Cooper Sevillano, LLC, another law firm that handles the administrative work on his cases. What Mr. Finch considers as a capstone in his career was the case involving absentee or mail-in ballot vote fraud that he argued in front of the Connecticut Supreme Court in 2017. He asked the court to go along with the lower court’s recommendation of ordering a third primary election. With the help of several people, including Art Laske, a city attorney, and Anne Phillips Pappas, who was running for city council at the time, he was able to write a 30-page brief and win the decision.
In another case, a client was severely bitten by a dog, and to assuage his client’s medical bills, Mr. Finch was able to push the insurance company to tender the entire policy very quickly, while simultaneously negotiating a lower lien and fees. Mr. Finch has earned a listing in Top 40 Under 40 by the American Academy of Attorneys, an invitation-only, national organization of elite attorneys actively practicing law, and is listed by Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Mr. Finch was awarded a full-tuition Academic Leadership Scholarship to the University of Connecticut, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University’s School of Business. He continued his education with a Juris Doctor from the Quinnipiac University School of Law, North Haven, in 2016. Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Finch prospered in media, founding Live! With Pete Finch at the University of Connecticut, an interview show featuring guests such as musicians Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Wyclef Jean, and Cee Lo Green and professional basketball players Diana Taurasi and Emeka Okafor. The show was successful, and later acquired a distribution deal with production assistance from MTV. He then turned his attention to the legal profession, inspired by his father Bill Finch, who served as a city councilman, state senator, and mayor of Bridgeport. In the coming years, he is hoping for continued success with The Finch Firm.
