Lucas T. Elliot, member of Frost Brown Todd, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in litigation.
Specializing in business and commercial, patent and products liability litigation, intellectual property and international services, Mr. Elliot has dedicated his career to serving clients from leading multinational companies to small businesses. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and behavioral sciences in 1986 and graduated cum laude from the Tulane University Law School with a Juris Doctor in 1989. He is licensed to practice in Tennessee and Texas and has argued cases before the Court of Appeals for both the Federal Circuit and the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Tennessee and the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. He began his career as a federal judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He went on to practice as a partner of the firm Fulbright & Jaworski LLP from 1990 to 2007, and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP from 2008 to 2018.
Among Mr. Elliot’s most high-profile work was his successful defense of a multinational oil and gas services company in cases arising out of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. He is active in the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar and the Economic Club of Nashville, and is a sustaining life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a continuing life fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation. Mr. Elliot holds an AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell rating, is a three-time Texas Super Lawyer, and has been included in the Best Lawyers in America each year since 2013. Looking toward the future, his goal is to contribute to the growth and success of his Houston office.
