Ms. Hoffer has specialized in medical and legal malpractice law for more than ten years and has been a partner at Hoffer & Sheremet, PLC, a Grand Rapids, Michigan medical law firm since 2017. At Hoffer & Sheremet, PLC, Ms. Hoffer’s work is focused on legal writing and case analysis, though she remains involved in the litigation process. Prior to her current position, Ms. Hoffer practiced with Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge from 2010 until 2017 and clerked for several judges in the 17th and 48th Circuit Courts of Kent County and Allegan County from 2007 until 2010.
Ms. Hoffer’s work was instrumental in securing the first plaintiff ruling in a medical malpractice suit in Grand Traverse County since 1997. She was named a Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Star in professional liability and plaintiff representation between 2013 and 2017 and holds an AV rating through Martindale-Hubbell. Likewise, Ms. Hoffer looks forward to being named a Super Lawyer in 2022.
She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 at the University of Rhode Island and graduated cum laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006 with a Juris Doctor. Ms. Hoffer was admitted to practice law in the state of Michigan in 2008. Outside her career in law, Ms. Hoffer is the owner of an organic farm that supplies produce to a grocery store in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
