Kaitlin Gallen, attorney at Polsinelli, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in labor and employment law.
Ms. Gallen is a labor and employment attorney celebrating nearly a decade of practice representing and counseling employers in a broad range of workplace matters. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature, French, and political science from Truman State University, summa cum laude, and began her career with Teach for America before entering the field of law. Ms. Gallen taught English and science to special education students at Gateway International High School in St. Louis from 2008 until 2010, when she enrolled at the University of Missouri School of Law. Ms. Gallen was inducted into the Order of the Coif at the University of Missouri and awarded both the Guy A. Thompson Prize for Best Student Comment and the Roy W. Harper Prize for Highest Grade in Constitutional Law before graduating with honors in 2013.
After earning her Juris Doctor and a certificate in alternative dispute resolution, Ms. Gallen spent two years as a clerk for The Honorable Mary Russell, Chief Justice of the Missouri Supreme Court. She became an associate of the Kansas City-based firm Ogletree Deakins in 2015, and in 2017, she accepted her current role with Polsinelli, where her practice has included employer defense against class action and collective suits in both state and federal courts. Ms. Gallen has been admitted to practice law in Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa, and is active in the American Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy and Bar Leadership Academy. She is the managing editor of the Missouri Law Review, and has been named a Missouri Super Lawyer and Rising Star. Outside her work in the courtroom, Ms. Gallen is a member of the Care To Learn Emergency Health, Hunger and Hygiene Committee for Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School and chair of the Tim Heinsz 5k and Jim Devine Dog Walk Committees.
