Zachary E. Ankier, Esq., Associate Attorney at Rella & Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in workers’ compensation law.
From watching his parents flourish as attorneys, Mr. Ankier desired to pursue a career in law in his own right. As a child, he enjoyed accompanying his parents to court and further developed a knack for logic and crafting arguments with great support from family and teachers. With his goals in mind, Mr. Ankier earned a Bachelor of Arts in finance, real estate, and business law from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2016 and went on to attain a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the New York Law School in 2019, graduating in the top 15 percent of his class. Between 2012 and 2018, he developed early experience as a bookkeeper for Weiss Financial Group, assistant project manager for 3 Corp Pty Ltd., financial planning intern at Macy’s Herald Square and a legal extern for Thor Equities.
Today, Mr. Ankier excels as an associate attorney for Rella & Associates in Sleepy Hollow, New York, where he specializes in Social Security disability and workers’ compensation. Commencing the role in 2020, he previously served the firm as a law clerk from 2019 to 2020 and as a legal intern in 2017. Mr. Ankier recalls his most notable achievement in his legal career thus far has been winning an appeal case for a client who was denied benefits – he got his case overturned and the benefits restored. Attributing his success to having exceptional mentors, he envisions himself taking on more responsibilities and eventually becoming a partner in the coming years. To remain abreast of his field, Mr. Ankier maintains membership with the New York City Bar Association, Injured Workers Bar Association and Young Lawyers Association.
