Patrick E. Lamas, Esq., attorney at Law Office of Patrick Lamas PLLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in personal injury and criminal defense law.
Since 2017, Mr. Lamas has worked in individual practice specializing in personal injury and criminal defense, including drug- and alcohol-related charges, family violence, and assault. His interest in the law began after being summoned for jury duty during his summer break as an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Arlington. Majoring in industrial and applied mathematics, he had no prior interest in the legal field, but found himself disappointed by the attorneys on both sides of the case and remembers thinking that he could have done a better job handling the proceedings. After finishing his Bachelor of Science degree, Mr. Lamas earned his Juris Doctor at St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he practiced as a student attorney in the school’s Center of Legal and Social Justice, focusing on divorce and ad Litem proceedings.
In recognition of his outstanding work as a student attorney, Mr. Lamas was presented with the 2016-2017 Francisco Leos Award by St. Mary’s University School of Law. He credits his success as an attorney to his foundation at the school and to his mentors from the legal clinic, Adam Cobbs and Mark Stevens. Mr. Lamas is active in the Texas Criminal Defense Association and the San Antonio Criminal Defense Association. In the coming years, he looks forward to continuing to build his legal practice and hopes to have the opportunity to teach at some point.
