Specializing in estates, wills, trusts, and civil litigation, Mr. Bartol has dedicated his career to utilizing his expertise to enhance the lives of his clients. Prior to establishing the Bartol Law Firm in 2020, for over 40 years he has found additional success as the founder, managing partner, and senior partner at Murphy, Bartol & O’Brien, LLP. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Fordham University in 1967 before subsequently earning a Juris Doctor from Villanova University in 1970. Garnering experience through business law courses and tax courses, he developed a strong interest in taxation and began his career as a tax specialist with Arthur Young & Co. in 1970 and an accountant at Arthur Andersen & CO. from 1970 to 1971. Thereafter, he excelled in law as an associate at Gehrig, Ritter, Coffey, et al from 1971 to 1978.
Mr. Bartol is proud to have handled a tax case and the accompanying trial on behalf of the Town of Brookhaven in connection with the Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant. Currently presiding as a trustee, he is gratified to have donated his time and resources to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County for over 40 years. For his achievements, he is honored to have been named by the Heart Council Long Island, Inc. and recognized as Man of the Year by the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County. Throughout his career, he has maintained professional affiliations with organizations such as the American Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Council, the Nassau Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association. A celebrated Marquis listee, he is a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the field.
