Allan Weiss, Former Attorney at Ferreri & Fogle, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in litigation and art collecting.

Mr. Weiss celebrates nearly 50 years of excellence in contributing to the field of law. Having harbored a passion to pursue a career in law since high school, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in law and a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville in 1962 and 1964, respectively. Thereafter, he began his career as a law clerk for the Kentucky Supreme Court. Specializing in litigation for the duration of his career, he found success as an attorney and the head of the insurance department at Morris, Garlove, Waterman & Johnson from 1965 to 1998. He is licensed to practice by the State Bar of Kentucky before the United States District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

As an art historian and folk art collector, his folk art collection has secured its place in over 50 exhibitions, including those of the Dallas Museum of Art, The High Museum of Art and the Virginia Fine Art Museum. Moreover, he is proud to have orchestrated a project called Peace Post Cards in an effort to display the individual vision of peace of each person involved. For his efforts, he is honored to have received nearly 28,000 cards returned from over 35 countries. Additionally, he is credited with the creation of the Kentucky by Design exhibition, in which he set out to discover and document an authentic American style in everyday objects over the course of 30 years. Looking toward the future, he aims to focus on curating unique and extraordinary pieces for his up-and-coming digital museum.
