Ms. Paolini-Lotarski’s father told that he always wanted her to go to law school. She was going back and forth with the idea, as she also pondered pursuing a career in journalism. Then an unfortunate event changed the family’s perspective on life. She then wanted to do something that has an impact. She knew law has an impact on people’s lives and her ultimate goal was to help people. During her undergraduate studies, she took a First Amendment Journalism class, which she enjoyed. For these reasons, she made the decision to go into the law field. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Michigan in 2013 and then received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2016.
Ms. Paolini-Lotarski’s parents instilled in her the value of work hard and doing the best she can. She believes these values are the reason she is successful. She began her career in 2012 as a file clerk for Bodman, PLC, where she remained for one year. In 2014, she became a law clerk for the attorney general at CYS, remaining until 2015. The following year, she held the position of law clerk for O’Reilly Rancillio, P.C. and later became an associate attorney from 2016 to 2020. Since 2020, she has been an associate attorney with Aloia & Associates P.C. As a testament to her success, Ms. Paolini-Lotarski was named to Super Lawyers Michigan Rising Stars in 2021. Among her writing career, she received a Book Award in 2014 and 2015, a Writing Award for a non-fiction short story from the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2012 and a Writing Award for fiction short story from the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2012.
