David Otis Fuller, Jr., Lawyer, of Bosworth, Gray & Fuller, Bronxville, NY, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
Having long aspired to become a lawyer, Mr. Fuller was especially interested in criminal law, particularly in exploring the tension between personal liberty and an orderly society. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College in 1961, a law degree (JD) from Harvard Law School in 1964, and was admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Michigan and the Supreme Court of the United States.
He served as an associate with Amberg, Law and Fallon in Grand Rapids, Michigan from 1964 to 1965, and subsequently became an Assistant District Attorney in New York County in 1966, where he remained until 1972. A highlight of his career there was handling appeals at all appellate levels.
Following a judicial clerkship, Mr. Fuller found success as a corporate attorney for Pan American World Airways. In 1974, he joined the Reader’s Digest Association as their deputy general counsel and remained in that position until 1984. He subsequently opened a private practice and since 1986 has been the Tuckahoe Village Justice, serving a term as President of the New York State Magistrates Association. Since 1994, he has been a partner of Bosworth, Gray and Fuller. As a testament to his success, Mr. Fuller received a Civil Rights Pioneer Award in 2019 and a Magistrate of the Year Award from the New York State Magistrates Association in 2007.
