George B. Vaughan, Esq., Attorney at G.V. Law Group, PLLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in criminal defense and family law.
Mr. Vaughan became involved in his profession because he felt that someone has to be a voice for those that do not have one. In order to follow that path, he earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Johnson C. Smith University in 2007. Continuing with his education, he received a Juris Doctorate from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2014. Upon completion of his degree, Mr. Vaughan was admitted to practice law in Maryland and in Prince George County.
Mr. Vaughan began his career under contract with the state of Maryland and the Maryland State Bar Association working the Bond and Bail Review Hearings from 2016 to 2017. From there he became an attorney with G.V. Law Group PLLC since 2016. There he practices criminal defense law, family law and some business law as well as landlord, tenant, and real estate contracts. Looking towards the future, he would like to continue to do what he is doing now.
As a testament to his success, Mr. Vaughan has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Top 100 Registry in 2020, name Lead Eagle from the Top 100 Registry in 2020, named Top 40 under 40 by the Nation Black Lawyer Association in 2020, Attorney of the Year by the Top 100 Registry in 2020, National Lawyer of the Year in 2020 and Top 100 Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has also been inducted as a member of the Prince George County Bar, Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Association.
