At the start of his career, Mr. Josephs served as a legislative assistant to former U.S. Senator Wyche Fowler, Jr. and was an associate at Howery LLP from 1993 to 1996 before becoming a senior trial counsel and trial attorney for the Commercial Litigation Bank through 2002. He went on to serve the Consumer Protection Branch of the U.S. Department of Justice for 10 years until 2012, where he was first a civil litigator and then a criminal prosecutor of consumer-related fraud. Progressing in his career, Mr. Josephs was a partner at Locke Lord LLP, of counsel at Pasquina & Thebaud and a lecturer at the Boston University School of Law between 2012 and 2017. He had also excelled as a partner at the former Edwards Wildman Palmer, where he focused on health care law and white-collar criminal defense.
Notably, Mr. Josephs has been met with vast acclaim for his expertise, having taken home the Attorney General Award for Exceptional Service in 2010, Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys Director’s Award in 2011 and National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association Award in 2010. In addition, he took homes the Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General Cooperative Achievement Awards in 2010 and 2013 and Civil Division Special Commendation Awards in 2000, 2005 and 2009. Mr. Josephs was also granted the FDA Officer of Criminal investigations Award in 2008, Chief Postal Inspector Award in 2008 and Federal Trade Commission Outstanding Performance Award in 2005.
