Marc M. Schneier, Editor at the Construction Litigation Reporter, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of legal service.
Having earned distinction over the course of four decades for his work in education, research and writing, Mr. Schneier has offered his wide-ranging expertise in construction law to his colleagues in the legal profession as the editor of the Construction Litigation Reporter, a national newsletter published through Thomson/Reuters West, since 1983. Bearing a particular specialization in the areas of public and private construction, accident law, federal procurement, insurance and professional liability, he previously taught throughout the early 1990s as an adjunct professor of construction law at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Mr. Schneier initially began his career as a judicial law clerk at the Court of Appeals in California in 1980, and later served as an attorney at David B. Gold PLC from 1981 until 1983.
First drawing inspiration for his entry into the legal profession from his experiences watching the Watergate Senate hearings, Mr. Schneier matriculated at the University of California Berkeley, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy in 1977. Following this accomplishment, he attended the University of California Davis, where he was bestowed with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1981. During the course of his studies, he notably received an Award for Academic Excellence from the Bureau of National Affairs. Mr. Schneier was promptly admitted to practice law by the state of California and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
A devoted volunteer within his local community, Mr. Schneier contributed as a board member, treasurer and chairperson of a nonprofit corporation. He also sat as a member of his local Democratic Committee and presently serves as an election judge at his local polling station. Outside of his vocational circles, Mr. Schneier enjoys such diversions as hiking, reading and dancing.
